LOVE & EGO

You rip her apart
Like your torn-up jeans,
Then ask how’s she doing
For answers that please.

Among what’s real
And what just seems to be
A shot in the dark,
Before the dawn breaks in.

Look beyond the eyes
Those adore your sins,
She loves you,
For everything you are and ever will be.

Don’t take her for granted,
For what it seems to be,
Life’s too hard to live alone
With wet pillows and crumbled empty sheets.

  1. “Life’s too hard to live alone
With wet pillows and crumbled empty sheets”
    So true…

    Did you on purpose
    Left the hollow
    Which your head
    Made on the pillow?

Yet I had faith in our love,
    So far
    Like I have
    in the accuracy of clocks
    in train stations,
    in ferry ports.

    Besides you
    Mother left me
    And the hollow
    from her absence
    still remains
    on my navel.
