The clinking of sharp knives
Traps of death cages
Cruelty in their blood
Urging to kill for days

Dew drops in the air
Clogging her view
More or less
Humans’ thrill to kill is never new
Listening to the voices in the dark
She walked past the park
Soft breeze sang to her
As she smelled the killers
Insomniac hunters
Began the chase

Run to the woods
Time to get lost again
Your silver eyes
Will survive through nights and days
You never belonged with the humans anyway…

  1. Thanks for stopping by my blog. I’m glad that you did, as it allowed me to discover your gift for words here on your site. There is such an effortless fluidity to your words and the conveyance of emotion. So very well done, thanks for sharing.

And, I have to say that your ‘About’ page really resonated with me. As an engineer by day (for the past umpteen years), my desire to write rose out of four words that have become my tagline (and is reference in your bio) – inspire and be inspired 🙂

Best of luck with the pursuit of your technology degree as well as the obviously powerful musings of your creative mind. As always, inspire and be inspired 🙂

  2. Kaushal's Perspectivism

It made me remember the ‘she wolf’ in the most raw form. In the animated movies, all the visualization that is depicted can be clearly formed in the mind of the reader using your words. A fantastic writer you are. 🙂

Word pictures, my favorite kind of writing. I haven’t even gone nearby email if you have emailed because I’m really really sick , I’m not blowing you off. I can’t even blow my nose! LOL

  4. Creatively imaginative, loads of depth, superb!
Sanghamitra my neighbors are Anil & Pranati Chakrabarti. I know your last name ends in “y”, perhaps theirs has been “Americanized”. Just thought that was interesting, unless your last name is a common one, like Jones or Smith is in America! 🙂
